Setting goals is a MAJOR focus of our Black Belt Program at Mile High Karate in Auckland NZ
Setting goals is an important part of achieving success in any area of your life, and is a MAJOR focus of our program at Mile High Karate in Auckland NZ.
Make Commitment a Habit Through.
But it is your commitment to the goal that will determine your success or failure.
Goals worth striving for are most often associated with challenges that will test
your commitment.
If your commitment is strong, chances are you will be able to overcomemost obstacles
that challenge you.
If your commitment is weak, you will most likely be defeated.
What determines the strength of your commitment?
Some people theorize that if the goal is important, then commitment will be strong.
While this seems like a valid assumption, it doesn’t explain why some people lose
the commitment to stop smoking or lose weight. These are obviously very important
health goals, yet commitment often varies. Another theory is that the strength of
your commitment is directly controlled by you. Commitment can be as much of a habit
as smoking or overeating. If you develop a consistency of responding to challenges
(big or small) in a certain way, it becomes a part of your character.
Over the next few messages we’ll explore exactly what it takes to “join the ranks” of
those “Super Achievers” who not only set motivating goals, but ALSO apply the commitment
required to actually achieve those goals!
At Mile High Karate in Auckland NZ, the ultimate goal of the student is to achieve their
Black Belt. This is a POWERFUL symbol of the dedication and growth that are the keys
to a happy, successful life.

Results from Parents and Students from Mile High Karate School in …..in their own words!
I have gained confidence and a greater work ethic….
“Martial arts has taught me some very important lessons
like discipline, courage, work ethic, determination and confidence. The discipline that martial arts and kickboxing has given me has
helped with my school work and competition. I have gained
confidence and a greater work ethic through my six years of training.Martial arts has given me the courage to overcome fears that we kids
never tell adults about. When I was five years old, just getting into the
ring took a tremendous amount of courage and determination. The discipline I acquired through my training gave me the drive to conquer fear during my toughest battles. My motto from then on was to never give up. If I had any advice to give other young martial artists, it would be to always work harder and never give up.”

About Auckland, New Zealand
The Auckland metropolitan area, in the North Island of New Zealand, is the largest and most populous urban area in the country. It has 1,397,300 residents, which is 32 percent of the country’s population. Auckland has the largest Polynesian population of any city in the world.
The Auckland urban area ranges to Waiwera in the north, Kumeu in the northwest, and Runciman in the south. It is not contiguous – the section from Waiwera to Whangaparaoa Peninsula is separate from its nearest neighbouring suburb of Long Bay. Auckland lies between the Hauraki Gulf of the Pacific Ocean to the east, the low Hunua Ranges to the south-east, the Manukau Harbour to the south-west, and the Waitakere Ranges and smaller ranges to the west and north-west. The central part of the urban area occupies a narrow isthmus between the Manukau Harbour on the Tasman Sea and the Waitemata Harbour on the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the few cities in the world to have harbours on two separate major bodies of water.
